I can understand how busy you've been. I'm trying to do the final proofing of my book, hope to have it released late October. Been a real learning experience, I'm self publishing and had a lot to learn.
Yes, I do have two other novels already in progress. While writing the second book, I developed an outline for the third, with plans to start the book after I'd completed book # 2. But, some great ideas for that third novel kept popping into my head and I kept jotting them down. So, I also started working on Book # 3, too, while the juices were flowing. Has that ever happened to you? I always thought that authors were supposed to do one book at a time. This is not the case with me. Also, I want to commend you for being able to write with two teenagers at home. My kids are grown, but I can remember those days!!
Wow! Eight published novels and 9-11 on the way. Kudos to you!! My first novel will be out in spring 2009. I visited Georgia last summer and loved the state.
I'm waiting to watch the first season of Brothers & Sisters on dvd. I could kick myself I didn't start watching it when it first aired! I watched one episode that sucked me LOL Hopefully ABC will re-run the second season in order over the summer.
My newest novel, An ExtrOrdinary Affair, is set in the Atlanta area. The main character, Siobhan, was a stripper at one of the popular the clubs. Thanks to an irate beau, she is kidnapped and taken to Myrtle Beach, Thats where the story begins. Its an exciting read.
I know. I use to look out my tenth floor condo and watch the traffic on 75/85 during the rush hour. It was a mess. I love the area, especially bulkhead. Ther are a lot of book lovers in the area. Hope to do a few signings this summer.
karen,
Thanks for the feedback. I have such a hard time sticking to a schedule. But I'm working on it :)
I know what you mean about the TiVo. I'm just getting around to finishing last season of Desperate Housewives! LOL
Hello Karen
I once lived in Decatur Georgia. It was an interesting time in my life. So much so I wrote my first novel, Choice of a Lifetime, about my experiences while living in an condo-apartment on Peachtree Street, Georgia is a stae that offers excitement and the need for creativity
Hi Karen,
I have to laugh when I read your bio, because it's familiar to mine. I avoid cooking, play the violin, chauffeur my kids, and have a golden retriever!
I would hate to ask you similar questions to the ones you had to answer yesterday. I just wanted a short blurb but I guess I can find that out from your website. I'll take a look at what was discussed yesterday as well, and if I have more questions, I'll post them here.
Thanks and good luck with your book!
Best,
Mayra
I'm the author of 8 published novels, with books 9, 10 and 11 due out in 2008 and 2009 from Penguin Publishing. When not writing or reading, I'm chauffeuring children, singing, playing piano and avoiding cooking. I live in Georgia with my husband of 20 years, my daughter, son, adorable and spoiled Havanese dog and 2 guinea pigs.
