Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
This is always difficult for me. How much is enough, and how much is too much. So take what you will and toss out the rest.

I have two married daughters, and they each have two children. I was a stay at home mom, back then I had more money than I knew what to do with. Boy, how the economy has dampened that.
I was trained to manage a trucking company. I did it all, and was very good at it, if I might brag a little. After leaving there, I was not being paid my worth, I managed a fifteen line computerized swithboard for a large company. I must admit, I was extremely good at this, after all, I am a people person. But after a couple of years I once again found it necessary to move on. Again, not enough pay for my skills.

I was at this time introduced to whole new world, called Network Marketing. What can I say, I made so many new friends. Some developed into a lasting relationship to be treasured.

It was during the time of my working experiences that I bagan to journal. After a few years, I came to realize just how valuable journaling was to me.

If you could step inside my heart, you would feel the emotional roller coaster ride. that thrust me forward to make me the person I have become.
I desperately needed emotional healing and writing became my strength. You could say it was my way of escape. It has been a very long journey, extremely difficult at times.

This enabled me to write poetry, and I found it to be most gratifying. I coud take what was in my heart, put it on paper, and express myself openly. Many of my poems were published in the local paper.

I came to realized that I should pursue the talent that God had given me. And that is the main reason why I've chosen to write. Although Ashley's Unforgettable Summer is my first book, it certainly will not be my last. After completine the book I am currently working on, Forsaken Land, I plan to venture out and write on a personal level. I want to reach out to comfort, encourage and uplift. God has blessed me in this area as well. This is a ministry, a calling in which I feel that I must acknowledge. I will also continue to write for children. However, through Journaling, I have become more confident in writing and will use it as a guide for my new life. Not only to transition but to make sense of the change

Interview With Grace Reddick

What do you think are the basic ingredients of a story?
The story should grab the reader right away, and continue to hold their interest. The story also needs to draw them inside, giving them the opportunity to feel as though they're living it themselves. It should come from the heart. If I can't feel it myself, I don't write it.

What is required for a character to be believable? How do you create yours?
My characters are created from my imagination, and I use the names of my grandchildren for… Continue

Since the publication of her first book, "Ashley's Unforgettable Summer," in 2007, Grace Reddick's life has been a whirlwind. When writing her first book, she did not realize the tremendous impact it would have on people.

"I have always enjoyed writing. I began to journal many years ago, and found it to bring healing for my mind and spirit. It also enables me to seek and express my inner self," Reddick said.
